Logan's Run
13 episodes (1977-1978) 60m

Despite the fact the 1976 feature film seemed to have already said it all, television had another crack at this story of the inhabitants of a futuristic city who unwittingly face euthanasia while young adults. A man and a woman go in search of a better deal and tackle the outside world for thirteen episodes. Looking better with time and surprisingly endurable.

Big budget and well-received critically.

Jeremiah
34 episodes (2002-2004) 60m

Luke Perry stars as the title character in this series based on the European comic book of the same name. A deadly epidemic which wiped out all beyond puberty leaves the survivors in a bad way. Jeremiah teams with sidekick Kurdy to make his way through the decadence and work on creating a new and better world. The darkness and pessimism did not gel with modern sci-fi audiences.
